About St. Michaels, MD - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Talbot County, Maryland, St. Michaels is a small town with about 1,100 residents. St. Michaels is found on a long stretch of land on the Miles River, and Annapolis is located just across the Chesapeake Bay.  Originally founded in the 1770s, the community prospered in shipbuilding and agriculture – specifically tobacco. However, with time the village became more of a tourist attraction, with hotels, restaurants, and gift shops drawing in many visitors each year. In fact, Coastal Living Magazine has named St. Michaels as one of the top romantic escapes in the United States.

There is no shortage of things to do in this tourist hotspot. Visitors who wish to learn more about this coastal community might like to visit the 1879 Hooper Strait Lighthouse or the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum.  Beer and wine enthusiasts also have plenty of places to discover, as Lyon Distilling Company, Eastern Shore Brewing, and Saint Michaels Winery all call the community home.

The weather is one of the top reasons that many people are attracted to St. Michaels and other portions of coastal Maryland. While other parts of the United States battle frigid conditions and heavy snowfall during the winter, St. Michaels residents enjoy cool or even mild temperatures. Average highs in January reach into the mid-40s, although freezing temperatures are possible overnight. While residents still need a gas or electric furnace system at home, an energy efficient unit can keep heating costs quite affordable throughout the season.

Summer in St. Michaels is the perfect time to get outdoors and spend some time in the sun, but only for short periods of time. Temperatures are hot and humidity levels are high. During July and August, most residents rely on their central air conditioning systems to stay cool at home. A local HVAC technician can provide the maintenance these systems need to stay in peak condition throughout the season.
