About Grasonville, MD - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Grasonville, Maryland is a census-designated place found in Queen Anne’s County. This Maryland community is home to roughly 2,200 people and is made up of about five square miles of total area. Grasonville serves as a small bedroom community for many neighboring cities, as Annapolis is only 20 miles west. Likewise, Baltimore is 50 miles northwest of Grasonville, while Washington, D.C. is about the same distance to the southwest.

While there aren’t any major tourist attractions in Grasonville, there are a few businesses here that might appeal to visitors or residents. The Jetty Dock Bar is a popular nighttime hotspot, and there are many unique restaurants in the area – La Piazza, Hunter’s Crabs, Harris Crab House & Seafood Restaurant, and The Jetty to name a few. Outdoor enthusiasts may wish to check out the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center or Kent Island Sup. There are also several specialty shops in the community, including Island Furniture Studio, Coastal Cottage, and Dutch Barn Antiques & Used Furniture.

Weather conditions in Grasonville are typical for humid subtropical climates. Winters here are cool to cold, although snowfall is limited compared to other parts of the U.S. On average, the region only receives about ten inches of snow each year, but conditions can still become dangerous. Freezing temperatures, rain, and sleet can lead to difficult driving conditions, and residents need a warm place to stay safe. The right gas or electric furnace is a necessity throughout the season.

Fortunately, the winter season is short-lived and will lead to warm spring and hot summer seasons. With average temperatures well into the high-80s, conditions warm up quickly. Unfortunately, high humidity will make it feel even warmer than what is indicated on the thermostat. Most residents invest in energy efficient central air conditioning units at home in order to stay cool when the hottest weather conditions move into the area.
